US-China Sister City Education Program

The Sister City Association of Guangzhou, China and Los Angeles, California sponsored an eight-week public sector leadership development program for 30 mainland-China government agency directors in Los Angeles.

UCLA and the Sister City Association contracted with Miralto to lead the design and delivery of the multi-disciplinary program and its integration with a series of internships at local hosting agencies and touring events with the Chinese Consulate.  Miralto Principal Paul Curcio led sessions with delegates on strategic leadership, public policy, negotiations, and public budgeting.  He also oversaw integrated delivery from UCLA faculty and other thought leaders on intellectual property, foreign direct investment, university research and development, US government history, economic development, environmental stewardship, urban planning, and public health and safety. The exceptionally successful program offered two waves of training over two years.
